classic WWII green Nazi ape-monster coverBased on a very sad yet true chapter of American history; The Green Nazi Ape-Monster Battles of 1941, the most legendary of all issues of Amazing-Man Comics is the wartime lunacy of issue #22, featuring cover art by Paul Gustavson. The comic is very nearly a textbook example of war-era propaganda, rife with Axis imagery, oversized menace, larger-than-life heroism, apocalyptic mayhem, and a damsel in distress sure doesn't hurt.Although this copy has a split cover, the rather memorable green Nazi monster illustration is still clean and crisp, Amazing Man looks pretty sharp and bright in contrast to the muted background. This book is hard to find so any copy that comes to market should not be taken for granted, regardless of condition.
