Pg. 11; Bob Brown pencils, Wally Wood inks; image size 15" x 10"

Inked in 1969, in the later period of Wood' career, it's ironic that this piece was worked on by a Golden Age master illustrator for a story that has the titular character back in time for some WWII action. Best of all, an exploding robot Superboy!

Artists Information

Wally Wood is an American comic book artist/ writer who is also one of the founding artist for Mad comics. In addition to penciling numerous comic book pages, Wally also ventured into product illustration, music album covers, and trading cards. Wally's most notable works include the aforementioned Mad comics, Marvel's Daredevil, and Weird-Science Fantasy for EC comics.

Brown bounced back and forth from Marvel to DC throughout his career which began in the Golden Age, primarily known for illustrating Challengers of the Unknown for over a decade, Brown worked on a wide swath of genres and titles, from Western to Horror to Superhero books. His last great contribution to comics was the character Bullseye, who first appeared in Daredevil #131.
