It is incredibly difficult to find many of the more esoteric comic books that were printed in the Golden Age, nobody could foresee the hobby of collecting becoming a serious pursuit, let alone the high-stakes investment marketplace that would grow over time. Which makes this extremely rare book a very special find, as it is a promotional piece, likely given to a small handful of distributors and outlets in an attempt to get dealers to carry Centaur's product. Bearing the front cover art from Amazing-Man Comics #23, and the interiors of Amazing-Man #25, this book is a serious collectible, one would be hard pressed to find more than a few copies of this comic out there, in any condition. Fans of Centaur are sure to want to lay hands on this special little piece of history.
This comic is rough around the edges, but the main focus, John Aman and his sidekick, Tommy, the Amazing Boy, are clean, bright, and unscathed. The patriotic wartime action only adds to the interest sure to be cast upon this GA diamond-in-the-rough. When it comes to extremely scarce books like this one, condition takes a backseat to collectivity, and we expect the closing price on this lot to reflect the intense devotion Centaur collectors have toward their passion.
