Of course, Superman continues his enduring presence as a pop-culture icon. The Man from Krypton has now spent decades being regularly featured in cartoons, serials, movies, television shows, and extensive merchandising. Today, fans are anxiously awaiting Superman's next role as part of the changing DC Cinematic Universe.Over 80 years old, Superman #1 has been a landmark comic book for longer than most of us have been alive. This copy carries a 6.5 Restored Grade from CGC, with beautiful off-white to white pages. This book earned an Extensive (A-5) Restoration Grade, meaning that it was restored extensively, but with great attention to detail. The restoration includes color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cleaning, and reinforcing. This is an amazingly attractive comic, with such a clean classic Joe Shuster cover, advertising "the daring exploits of the one and only Superman." Although restoration may affect the overall value of a book, it cannot change the massive historical importance and cool factor of Superman #1.
