Pg. 66; Vincente Alcazar pencils, Neal Adams inks and signed; image size 10.5" x 15"
From the story, First Night of Terror! Cir. 1974Neal Adams' masterful greytone work provides chilling atmousphere for this action-packed horror story that features the protagonist Shreck, doing battle with a group of Looneys, people driven mad by the moon, who are hot on his trail as he makes his escape in a VW bug, while wearing a pirate shirt, in the mid-1970s. It was this sort of wacky, surrealistic, morbid fare that kept Warren fans coming back for more adult-themed thrills and chills in the Silver Age. This page displays the wonderful union of Vincente Alcazar's deft pencils and Adams' instantly recognizable inks which combine to create one thrilling macabre piece of eerie art.
