"Man-Hunt!" Part 1 of 2. Guest-starring the Punisher. Script by Wolfman. Art by Pollard (layouts) and Mooney (finishes). Cover by Romita and McLeod. The action starts with a bang as the web-slinger catches a man falling out of a high-rise office building! When Spider-Man swings inside to investigate, he discovers the source of the problem: the Punisher! What has Frank Castle been up to since Spidey last saw him (in Amazing Spider-Man 175)? Oh, just business as usual...terrorizing the underworld! The following day to his surprise, the Punisher sees pictures of his penthouse gun battle in the Daily Globe! Credited to a photographer named Peter Parker! This troubles the Punisher! And that means trouble for Aunt May's nephew! War Journal Entry #519 is coming up next at a particular superhero's Chelsea apartment! Appearances by J. Jonah Jameson, Joe Robertson, Dr. Marla Madison, Aunt May, and Mary Jane Watson.

Artists Information

John Romita was one of the driving forces behind Marvel's Silver Age, he took up the reins on Spider-Man following the departure of Steve Ditko with issue #38. Romita's run on Spider-Man would be long and significant, introducing characters including Mary Jane Watson, the Kingpin and many others. He would be a major contributor to the entire Marvel line throughout the 1970s including designing the look of The Punisher.

James Noel Mooney was an American comics artist best known for his long tenure at DC Comics and as the signature artist of Supergirl, as well as a Marvel Comics inker and Spider-Man artist, both during what comics historians and fans call the Silver Age of comic books. He sometimes inked under the pseudonym Jay Noel.

Bob McLeod is an American comic book artist best known for co-creating the New Mutants with writer Chris Claremont. McLeod drew the graphic novel and the first three issues of the New Mutants and inked a number of subsequent issues. He penciled some issues of Star Wars and Spider-Man as well. In 1987, he inked Mike Zeck’s pencils on the Kraven’s Last Hunt storyline in the Spider-Man titles.
