Complete 44 page story of "The Black Tulip" - Alex Blum and Matt Baker art; each page's image size measures approximately 11.75" x 17.75"

It is with great pleasure that we bring this complete story to our clientele. This set is composed of forty-four pages from issue #73 of the omnipresent literary adaptation series, Classics Illustrated. Based on Alexandre Dumas' novel "The Black Tulip," the story involves Cornelius van Baerle's attempt to produce the legendary perennial of the book's title to win a prize, prestige, and celebrity. The tale contains a myriad of twists and turns, historical drama, political machinations, and intrigue. Every page was crafted by Alex Blum, whose many contributions to Classics Illustrated form the bulk of his published output, with assistance by GGA pioneer, the legendary Matt Baker. Although uncredited, Baker's smooth style is apparent in these pages, making this set even more desirable. Classics Illustrated is one of the building blocks of the comic industry, any collection of Golden Age books is not complete without a few entries from this most important and, dare we say, educational, of comic titles. Each page measures 14.25" x 22.5".
