The classic comic also became a top collectible as the first issue illustrated by Matt Baker, who would be praised posthumously for his exquisite and lush work on this title. (His Yellow Peril design on this cover is another testament as to why the pioneering artist has become a favorite of Golden Age collectors.) In "The Beauty and the Brain" Phantom Lady fans double their pleasure thanks to Our Heroine having a duplicate of herself, it's almost as if Baker knew how popular this character could be and decided to double down on this new subject matter. Taking over the numbering from Wotalife Comics, this issue saw Fox's reboot of Phantom Lady getting off to a running start.
