Lot of 3 EC magazines; average grade 7.0; estimated value $325.00; see extended book comments for issue #sIn 1954 the Senate Subcommittee on Juvenile Delinquency conducted hearings on comic books. In response, the industry in 1954 adopted the Comics Code which controlled what content would be permitted in comics decimating the crime and horror comics. In an effort to get around the Code, EC printed a new line of comics entitled “New Direction” which included Impact, Valor, Extra!, Aces High, Psychoanalysis, M.D. and Incredible Science FictionAdult Tales of Terror Illustrated - #1
