1st app of the Master Mold, 2nd Sentinels, Origin of the Beast; Jack Kirby cover/art; COMIC BOOK IMPACT rating of 7 (CBI)
This second book in the trilogy that introduces the Sentinels into the world of the X-Men concerns the attempts of the mutant team to penetrate the defenses of the Sentinel stronghold in order to get to their leader, Master Mold. While this action ensues, Master Mold probes Hank McCoy's brain in an attempt to discover the identity of Charles Xavier, which gives readers a chance to learn the origin story of the Beast. As the issue wraps up, Bolivar Trask is being forced to create an army of Sentinels that will do Master Mold's bidding. Jack Kirby, Jay Gavin, and Dick Ayers created the amazing art for this important issue.
