DESCRIPTION
John Calmette painting; page 23; 1996; image size 16" x 20"The Joker towers over what appears to be a Joker in training in this wonderful, fully painted page from this young reader's book. In the style of Batman: The Animated Series. Gouache on illustration board. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Calmette.

John Calmette was an animator and background painter for Marvel Animation Studio, Warner Bros, Disney, Sony, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, DC Comics, Dreamworks Animation Television. He is currently the art director for Marvel Animation Studio whose duties include supervising all the color and FX for all the shows in production, art direction and communicating and art directing overseas studios in Canada, Japan, and Korea.
