Weird Fantasy #13 is easily one of the top collectibles from the heyday of EC comics. The issue boasts one of the most classic covers from EC's sci-fi titles, along with great stories, unforgettable art, and a blatant act of plagiarism! All four of the classic sci-fi stories here contain horrific elements. In the case of "Home to Stay," however, Wally Wood provided great illustrations for a disturbing tale that was clearly stolen from Ray Bradbury's work.

Fortunately, Bradbury was willing to give publisher Bill Gaines a gracious way out of a lawsuit. The next issue featured letters from outraged Bradbury fans pointing out the thievery, with Gaines declaring that EC's "experiment" with publishing an unattributed Bradbury adaptation was a clear success. After that, Bradbury's stories became a regular presence in EC's sci-fi books.

"Home to Stay" may have stood out, but Wally Wood also got to illustrate "The End" as an actual original story by Bill Gaines and Al Feldstein. That classic time-travel tale is matched by the chilling climax of "The Trip" and the alien invasion of "Don't Count Your Chickens" for one of the most beloved books in pre-Code publishing.

Top of the census, one of one, the only 9.8 copy known in existence, a Gaines File Copy, QES-certified! Brilliant colors, perfect condition, no marks, dents, or other visible condition issues, a unique and beautiful copy that is sure to bring tears to the eyes of EC fans worldwide. This book has to be seen to be believed, it is poetry in, well, not exactly motion, but poetry in a CGC case. It is difficult to achieve perfection, and it is equally difficult to describe perfection, suffice to say, comics printed 70 years ago have no business looking this good, this is like the Cher of comics. Just buy it already!
