Meanwhile, Iceman has awakened from his comatose state, and heads home to deal with Magneto. The X-Men eventually devise a method to escape from their deathtrap, and they return to their base where the confront Magneto, who runs away after Professor X summons the Stranger to come and collect his metal-manipulating escapee. This issue finds Jack Kirby passing the penciling torch to Jay Gavin complimented by the dependable inks of Dick Ayers.
