Even the colors of his suit matched up neatly with the stars and bars, it's no wonder Marvel attempted to emulate these facets of the Man of Steel with their own patriotic superhero, Captain America.This absolutely iconic book, Superman #14 from January 1942, carries an amazing 8.0 grade from CGC and beautiful off-white to white pages. 8.0 is a truly stunning grade for any Golden Age comic, let alone such a popular book, approaching almost 80 years old. Only 20 higher-graded CGC copies of this book exist. A black background like this reveals even the slightest of imperfections, and very few are visible here. Superman, his logo, the shield, and the bald eagle all look fantastic. This book is so beautiful you'll start saying the Pledge of Allegiance just by looking at it.
