Cap, Human Torch, Sub-Mariner, Toro, and Bucky are getting in on the fun while they raid a Nazi fuel depot, and crack some skulls in the process, bringing a much-needed sense of levity to the profoundly horrific realities of WWII. It was comics like this one that buoyed spirits for Allied troops and civilians alike during the tough and tragic wartime era.A wonderful example of the chaotic and compelling Schomburg wartime cover that defined the era. This is a very difficult comic to find in any grade, this particular example is well-preserved, the color scheme retains its punch all these years later, as does the construction and presentation of the book. A perennial favorite of WWII comic fans and Schomburg mavens alike, this is always a popular lot at auction.
