Conceived by Bill O'Connor and Ben Flinton, the Al Pratt version of the Atom, along with Green Lantern, went on to become founding members of the Justice Society, the world's first superhero team. This comic is a top-choice Golden Age collectible featuring early depictions of two characters that have enjoyed real staying power.The action-packed Moldoff cover illustration on this copy is quite sharp, with hues that retain their punch all these decades later, and the overall presentation is impressive given the 80 year vintage of this classic key. The first appearance of the Atom is an important moment in DC’s history, especially with rumors circulating concerning the character’s inclusion in the DCEU.
