This comic is of particular historical interest though, being the final issue of the run of Captain America Comics, as well as a virtual death knell of the Golden Age style. Once Atlas was rechristened as Marvel Comics, they company would grow into the industry titan it is today, and Captain America would lead the charge, making this 1950s curio a special piece of the character's fascinating career.
