The April 1924 issue of Weird Tales is a bedsheet-format pulp, featuring an R.M. Mally cover. The cover illustrates a scene from the essay "The Hoax of the Spirit Lover" by Harry Houdini, with a ghostly apparition of a man reaching out to a woman.
This issue also includes three Lovecraft pieces, the short story "The White Ape," the short story "The Ghost-Eater" (cowritten with C. M. Eddy, Jr. and credited solely to Eddy), and the poem "Nemesis". As well, this issue features an essay by Seabury Quinn, "Mary Blandy," the fifth in his Weird Crimes series.
