The March 1934 issue of The Spider is a fantastic hero pulp. The cover features a beautiful image of the Spider and a skull-faced evildoer fighting overtop a city skyline. This cover is the first image of the Spider in his full costume, including mask, hat, and cape. This image shows why the hero pulps were so successful, and would go on to influence later vigilante detective heroes like Batman and Daredevil.
