classic Matt Baker good girl coverPhantom Lady #18 features a particularly dramatic Good-Girl cover by the legendary Matt Baker--this time not only grabbing the viewer with surprisingly erotic imagery, but also with a dramatic and poetic action pose. In recent years, Baker's standing as one of comics' most gifted draftsmen has driven the value of these already-iconic Phantom Lady covers sky-high. There are very few can't-miss comics for investors, but this is certainly one of them.Published in June of 1948, Phantom Lady #18 is a Golden Age comic classic, with beautiful Matt Baker cover and art. This copy earned a remarkable 9.0 from CGC, with off-white pages, an extremely unusual feat from a book that's nearly 75 years old. Only 60 copies of this book are recorded on the CGC census, with only 5 of them at higher grades than this amazing book. This is an extremely rare comic, and a GA treasure.
