Milton Caniff colors; hand-colored print; 1943; 11" x 14"

This is a beautiful print of the Dragon Lady from Terry and the Pirates, hand colored by Caniff himself. Caniff would often do these for fans in Liew of sending them actual drawings. The Dragon Lady is perhaps the most popular character from the strip, possibly more so than even Terry, making this one of the most desirable of the prints that he would send out. Watercolor over printed image. Excellent condition, there is some light discoloration around the edges of the paper. Signed and inscribed by Caniff. Also includes a note and a photo of the ship for which the piece is inscribed to.
