Kirby cvr; Fantastic Four app.; 2nd app. ElectroStan Lee is a creator who always hedges his bets when rolling out new characters, as he weaves the Fantastic Four into Daredevil #2 to increase sales and interest in the start-up super-hero. "The Man" deftly applied the same trick a year earlier in the classic, Amazing Spider-Man #1. The strategy works for the story and for Marvel's bottom line, as this is one heck of a jam-packed action fest, and the addition of Spidey nemesis Electro only serves to shore up the overall appeal of this book even further. The cover art by Jack Kirby does a spectacular job of encapsulating the action within, a tale that involves Matt Murdock's attempt to help the FF renew the lease on the Baxter Building, which is interrupted by the electric villain's evil machinations.
