Executed from the original Jack Kirby pencils of Silver Surfer, Doctor Doom & countless stars and planets. The original Kirby pencils only piece (which is believed to be the work of Kirby with the help of an unknown assistant) was auctioned off by Sotheby’s in 1992 and then again in 1998 from the Graham Nash (of Crosby, Stills & Nash - Folk Rock Supergroup) collection. This ultimate Silver Surfer piece is 100% Joe Sinnott’s inks over a high-end giclée of the original pencils. This was the only copy of the pencils made, it was created specifically for this project. Joe Sinnott was quoted at the time of completing this work in 2007 as it being “the hardest piece I have ever done!” Extraordinary! Large format. It is being offered to the public for the very first time! Executed in inks on over-sized heavy stock. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Sinnott on the Surfer’s board.
The piece has been professionally framed to 24" x 27.5"
