DESCRIPTION
Stanley Forker pencils and inks; illustration; c. 1940s; image size 9.25" x 12"Sports cartoon featuring The Chocolate Kid, Bert Lytell (Calvin Coolidge Lytle), a middleweight contender in the 1940s and 50s. Great illustration of someone who could have been a contender were he born in a different time. Beautiful drawing by Forker, the Lytell figure is drawn on textured paper which has been cut and pasted down onto the rest of the illustration. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Forker.
