The November 1940 issue of Marvel Stories showcases the crossover between Martin Goodman's Red Circle/Marvel pulps and the early Timely/Marvel comics. This issue features title illustrations by the iconic team of Joe Simon and Jack Kirby for at least four stories - "Queen of Venus," "A Dictator For All Time," "Substitute For War," and the "Thought World Monsters," as well as a one-page Human Torch story by Torch creator Carl Burgos. Any Golden Age comic collection should include this pulp. As the pulp market becomes increasingly more competitive and popular, this is a book that will be highly-coveted by pulp and comic collectors alike.

This copy of the November 1940 Marvel Stories pulp earned an amazing 6.0 Fine grade. With off-white pages, a complete spine, and a beautiful vibrant cover, this is a great copy of a key issue. This book includes Simon and Kirby illustrations for at least four stories - "Queen of Venus", "A Dictator For All Time", "Substitute For War", and the "Thought World Monsters". As well, it features a single-page Human Torch story by the Human Torch creator Carl Burgos, in a one-page story advertising Marvel Mystery Comics. The red and yellow cover copy looks stunning here, as well as the classic painted cover. Only one minor chip mars the largely spotless front cover. This is a key pulp, and a highly desirable copy for both comic and pulp collectors.
