The May 1934 issue of Weird Tales is an absolute classic. Sporting a Brundage cover, with the first-ever cover appearance of Conan the Barbarian, illustrating a scene from the Robert E. Howard story "Queen of the Black Coast". Margaret Brundage, Robert E. Howard, and Conan are some of the biggest and most desirable names in pulps, and they come together here for an amazing issue.
"Queen of the Black Coast" is one of the most famous and most acclaimed of all Conan stories, and an undisputed pulp classic. The cover depicts a scene with Conan and Belit cowering in the face of a winged monstrosity. These three figures show the breadth of Margaret Brundage's talent, between the heroic Conan, the beautiful Belit, and the weird and horrifying monstrosity attacking them. This cover, along with a classic Conan story, makes for a key issue of Weird Tales and a highly in-demand pulp.

This copy of the May 1934 issue of Weird Tales earned a 5.0 VG/F grade and has cream pages. The front cover's classic Margaret Brundage Conan cover has retained sharp cover over the 90 years since it's release. Slight stress along the edges and a very slight chip do not detract from this beautiful copy of an iconic pulp. The star of this issue is Conan, bearing his first cover appearance and a classic scene from one of the greatest Howard Conan stories, and he looks great here. This copy also has a crisp complete spine that would look fantastic on any shelf, as well as a nice white back cover. The pulp market is getting hotter and hotter, and this is a great copy of a major key.
