Detective Comics #71 is an all-time classic, containing work by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, Joe Simon, Jack Kirby, and an iconic Jerry Robinson Joker cover. This copy earned an incredible 8.0 CGC Universal Grade and has stunning white pages. This condition would be desirable for any book, let alone an almost 80-year-old early Batman issue. Per the CGC Census, there are only three copies of this book graded higher than an 8.0, and only 119 copies registered. The vibrant image of Batman and Robin running towards their nemesis feels truly animated, as a menacing Golden Age Joker towers over the Dynamic Duo. Another 8.0 copy of this book recently sold for over $26,000. Classic Batman issues are some of the most sought-after collectibles, and Joker covers and stories are even more coveted.
