This copy of Detective Comics #67 earned a 7.0 CGC Universal Grade and has off-white to white pages. Jerry Robinson’s iconic first Penguin cover looks amazing, with incredibly well-preserved images of Batman and Robin chasing after the umbrella-wielding villain. Only 83 copies of this book are recorded on the CGC Census, making any example a remarkable find, especially one in such impressive condition. A 6.5 CGC Detective #67 recently sold for $16,800. Batman keys and early issues are some of the most sought-after collectibles around. A high-grade Golden Age key like this only becomes more and more valuable with each passing year.
