John Romita has things firmly in hand, delivering a Golden Age style cover illustration featuring the header of "Captain America...Commie Smasher." This valiant effort to breathe new life into the once-beloved patriotic hero would take a few more years to pay dividends, but this short run of mid-'50s Cap comics are in a special little category all their own. Early Cold War superhero books are a fairly rare niche in the collecting hobby, so this book should not go overlooked as a rare classic of its kind.
