Spider-Man's first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15 was an overnight sensation, leading to a hurriedly prepared solo title from co-creators Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. (Marvel still brought in the top-selling Fantastic Four on the cover as insurance.) The book remains one of the cornerstones of comic collecting--featuring the first appearance of J. Jonah Jameson as one of the most iconic supporting characters in the history of comics. The book is also notable for including The Chameleon as Spidey’s first supervillain. The shape-shifting spy has been one of the major missing figures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is finally set to make his big-screen debut in this year’s Kraven the Hunter film.

Amazing Spider-Man #1, the first issue of one of Marvel's flagship titles, represented a historic moment in pop culture as well as comics. This QES-certified Microsoft collection copy earned an impressive 9.0 Universal Grade from CGC, with off-white to white pages. Featuring the first appearances of J. Jonah Jameson and the Chameleon, as well as the first Fantastic Four crossover, this landmark key is extremely fresh and clean. The iconic Kirby and Ditko cover presents beautifully, with clear, sharp renditions of Spider-Man and the FF. Spidey has appeared in countless comics, movies, TV shows, and video games, and he's not going away anytime soon. This high-grade copy of his first self-titled issue would be an exciting addition to any collection or investment portfolio.
