Iron Man would go on to launch the start of Marvel Studios in 2008, with Robert Downey Jr.'s popular portrayal keeping fans speculating that the character might return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Who would have thought that this cult figure, Iron Man, considered a minor-league hero, would go on to almost single-handedly reboot the entire Marvel franchise on the big screen? Yet, he did, and legions of Shellhead fanatics can now bask in the knowledge that they were amongst the first to realize the character’s potential.
