Doctor Strange didn't make the cover, but this issue of Strange Tales (with a notoriously low print run) has become a valuable collectible as the first appearance of the Sorcerer Supreme. There's also the first appearance of the Ancient One, Nightmare, and Wong in the back-up story hidden behind the Human Torch taking over Jack Kirby's cover art.
To be fair, the Torch's story also has the first pairing of the Wizard and Paste-Pot Pete. Collectors are still usually hunting down this classic comic for introducing Earth's sole defender from magical and mystical threats. With the continuing success of Benedict Cumberbatch as the big-screen Doctor Strange, this book is sure to reach new heights in popularity!
