1951's Weird Science Comics #10 is a particularly shining example of both the Golden Age of EC Comics and the burgeoning science fiction genre. It's also a showcase for the massive influence of artist Wally Wood — with his cover illustration showcasing the detailed and dynamic style that made him an icon.
This issue also has Wood illustrating two classic and visionary stories. "The Maidens Cried" foreshadows Alien with Wood's depiction of otherworldly mating, while "Transformation Completed" is a bold gender-bending tale.
