Spider-Man USDA TV commercial production cel w/original background; 1980

Fantastic original hand painted production cel with original painted background from a commercial for the USDA from 1980. in the series of TV spots Spider-Man was used to encourage children to eat their fruit and vegetables. This cel features a spectacular image of Spidey swinging towards the viewer in classic fashion, carrying a peach. The spots are believed to have been produced by Marvel Animation as they were at the time working on the Spider-Man animated series as well as the Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends series that would both begin airing in 1981. The cel has minor wear and the image measures 5" x 9.5", the painted background image measures 11.5" x 8.5".
