Spider-Man USDA TV commercial production cel w/reproduction background; 1980

Fantastic original hand painted production cel with a copy of the original background from a commercial for the USDA from 1980. in the series of TV spots Spider-Man was used to encourage children to eat their fruit and vegetables. This cel features a spectacular image of Spidey swinging towards the viewer, framed by the full moon. The spots are believed to have been produced by Marvel Animation as they were at the time working on the Spider-Man animated series as well as the Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends series that would both begin airing in 1981. The cel including the background image measures 11.5" x 8.5".
