origin and 1st app of Wonder Woman; one of the scarcest major Golden Age keys! Comic Book Impact rating of 10 (CBI)Wonder Woman was an instant hit who served as a graphic representation of the women's war effort during WWII, predating Rosie the Riveter by two years. All Star Comics #8 contains the very first appearance of Wonder Woman. Although she is not shown on the cover, this issue remains one of the most desirable Golden Age comics thanks to the game-changing debut of one of the first female superheroes. The upside potential for this issue cannot be stressed enough. Wonder Woman's overdue solo film received critical acclaim and birthed a whole new generation of fans, and a reboot of the franchise is currently rumored for the retooled James Gunn DCU which will certainly draw renewed interest to this already incredibly valuable and hard-to-find book.

Action Comics #1, Detective Comics #27, and All Star Comics #8 form the Holy Trinity of DC first appearances, as the three books introduced fan-favorite characters Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman respectively, and paved the way for decades of comics to come. All Star Comics #8 contained the first appearance of Wonder Woman, as well as stories that showed Starman & Doctor Mid-Nite joining the JSA, and Green Lantern becoming an honorary JSA member. This is one of the most influential and scarcest comics of not just the Golden Age, but of all time. There are fewer than 200 copies currently recorded on the CGC Census, making any opportunity to grab up this key extremely desirable. Wonder Woman keys are still undervalued, especially compared to Batman and Superman keys, and are often rarer. Major key issues like this only become more sought-after over time.
