A 15% BUYER'S PREMIUM WILL BE ADDED TO THIS ITEM AT CONCLUSION OF THE AUCTION Ron Frenz pencils/Brett Breeding inks; page 20; 1984; image size 10" x 15" From the historic 1st appearance of Spidey's symbiote suit! Tom DeFalco Collection
Over six months before Secret Wars #8, where we would learn how Spider-Man came to obtain his black Symbiote suit that would later bond with Eddie Brock to become the villainous Venom, the new-look Spidey would make his debut in Amazing Spider-Man #252. This is a historic page featuring Spider-Man and the two kids featured on the issue's cover observing New York from the top of a building as he shows them the beauty of the city, a beauty that is especially relevant to him after spending so much time away in space. This page has been in the collection of Tom DeFalco since it's publication and has never been offered for sale previously. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Frenz and writer Tom DeFalco.
From Tom DeFalco's personal collection.
