Over six months before Secret Wars #8, where we would learn how Spider-Man came to obtain his black Symbiote suit that would later bond with Eddie Brock to become the villainous Venom, the new-look Spidey would make his debut in Amazing Spider-Man #252. In this historic page J. Jonah Jameson reads a story in The Daily Bugle about the missing Secret Wars participants, featuring images of the Scarlet Witch and Mockingbird, and laments the lack of photos by Peter Parker, who is, of course, off in space with the rest of the heroes. This page has been in the collection of Tom DeFalco since it's publication and has never been offered for sale previously. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition, there are a couple of small paste-ups missing. Signed by writer Tom DeFalco.

From Tom DeFalco's personal collection.
