1st appearance Dr. Strange; 1st app. of Ancient One, Nightmare and Wong; Jack Kirby cover; 1st Paste-Pot Pete and Wizard team-up (7/63) COMIC BOOK IMPACT rating of 9 (CBI)
Strange Tales #110 presented the first appearance of
Doctor Strange. The future Marvel star didn't make the cover, but this classic issue (with a notoriously low print run) would become a beloved Silver Age collectible as the debut of the Sorcerer Supreme. There's also first appearances from the Ancient One, Nightmare, and Wong in the back-up story hidden behind Jack Kirby's cover art celebrating the Human Torch.
To be fair, the Torch's tale offers the first pairing of the Wizard and Paste-Pot Pete. Collectors are still after this classic comic for the introduction of Earth's top defender from mystical threats. And with the continuing success of Benedict Cumberbatch as the big-screen Doctor Strange, this book is sure to reach new heights in popularity!

Strange Tales issues have been heating up in popularity over the past few years, and due to the influx of new Marvel movie announcements, it has been increasingly difficult to keep this issue in stock in any grade. This is one of the toughest Silver Age key issues to find, likely due to a small print run, but that hasn’t stopped collectors from snapping up copies as quickly as they can. This spectacular book, with its deep blacks, bright reds, and vibrant yellows, is an incredibly well-preserved copy, which boasts cover signatures not only from Marvel’s main man Stan Lee but also from highly respected artist Dick Ayers who penciled the Human Torch story in this issue. With the blockbuster success of “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” demand for this book has escalated to unprecedented levels in recent months.
