They say iron sharpens iron which is true in the case of Batman and his infamous rouges gallery. They are unquestionably the most popular collection of baddies belonging to a single hero whom are either a perfect antithesis or a near reflection of the Dark Knight himself. Batman's adversaries would not only act as unwitting pawns in his relentless quest for justice, but also make him question his own morality and further his resolve. Enter Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot, who makes his first appearance here in Batman #59, a ruthless mercenary that boasts "he never misses his mark." Deadshot is considered one of the deadliest assassins among the DC Universe and though he mostly appears as a supervillain he is sometimes depicted as an antihero. Recently the character has enjoyed much mainstream success in multiple TV shows and video games, as well as his latest appearance on the silver screen in the DC movie adaption "Suicide Squad."
