Harvey Kurtzman and Bill Elder; 'The Child' complete 3 page story Production art; 1955; 7.25" x 11.25" ea.

Mad #22 was an all Bill Elder issue, featuring stories chronicling his life from a child to an adult. The issue was made up almost completely of altered photo collage, this is the production art for the three page story 'The Child', that leads off the issue and is made up of paste-ups of photostats of the altered images combined with reduced stats of the text, there are hand added embellishments and clean up to the pages. This is a very rare piece of Mad history, written by creator Harvey Kurtzman. The pages are in very good condition, there is light staining and discoloration due to their age.
