From the Modern Age of Comics – Original comic art of “Fearless Dawn” as she takes a moment to relax from fighting zombie NazisDepicting a relaxed Fearless Dawn. Of all the works produced by Mannion to date, this would be one of his finest! The art has a certain Jean (Moebius) Giraud feel to it. Mannion’s art was published (Jan 2014) as the cover to Fearless Dawn: Hard Times #1.
The art is accomplished in ink over graphite on Bristol board and measures approximately 11 x 17 inches. The artist signed & dated the work in the lower left prior to publication. Mannion signed the piece again, post publication, in the lower right margin. The work is in excellent condition. The title logo and cover elements are reproductions on an acetate overly.
The thrilling sequel to Fearless Dawn's “Jurassic Jungle Boogie Nights” is here at last! In an attempt to leverage some bargaining power, the evil Helga Von Krause kidnaps Fearless Dawn's canine companion, Dogface. But the trick takes an unexpected turn. Steve Mannion is a comic book artist best known for his creator owned title Fearless Dawn. Steve began working in the comic’s industry in 1994, penciling for DC Comics. He has penciled for all the major publishers including; Marvel, DC, Image, Fantagraphics/Eros, Asylum Press & Kitchen Sink.
