Published (Oct 2003) as Page 6 to the story “Confederacy of Dunces, Part 1.”
The art is accomplished in ink over graphite on Bristol board and measures approximately 11 x 17 1/4 inches. The artist signed the piece in the lower right margin. The work is in excellent condition.
The word balloons are recreations, panel 5 is a photocopy of panel 4.
Garth Ennis is a Northern Irish-American comics writer, best known for the Vertigo series Preacher with artist Steve Dillon, his nine year run on Marvel Comics’ Punisher franchise and The Boys with artist Darick Robertson. professional comic book artist, best known for his work on Justice League Unlimited, Teen Titans and GI Joe: Renegades.

Artist InformationJohn McCrea is a comic book artist, best known for his collaborations with writer Garth Ennis. He broke into American comics in 1993, drawing Ennis’s run on DC Comics’ The Demon, followed by its spin-off, Hitman from 1996 to 2001. During this time, McCrea developed a versatile drawing style equally at home with goofy humor, action and subtle characterization. Hitman #34 won the Eisner Award for Best Single Issue in 1999.
