Collection of incredibly rare newspaper articles and clippings from the earliest days of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, several from before the May 5th, 1984 debut of the first issue.

Included are:
The Transcript (Southern New Hampshire) - May 1, 1984 - Complete paper with cover blurb and full page illustrated article announcing the title and the Portsmouth Comic Con on May 5th where the book debuted.

Free Press (Dover, NH) - May 1, 1984 - Complete paper with full page illustrated article including premiere information.

Foster's Daily Democrat (Dover, NH) May 4, 1984 - Focus/Arts page with full page TMNT article, from the da before the debut.

Unknown paper (C. 1985) - Newspaper clipping of article about Kevin Eastman's rise, also announces the soon the be released Raphael one-shot and mentions Casey Jones before his introduction in the comic. This article was likely from a newspaper in Maine, it includes the envelope it was sent to Quentin Eastman in.

The Comics Buyers Guide - March 29, 1985 - photocopy of article announcing the TMNT role palying game.

The papers are folded as issued and are in very good condition.
