The Juggernaut, Professor X's brother, has been secretly held in a state of suspended animation in the basement of the X-mansion as Charles tries to figure out a way to return him to his former self. The experiment goes haywire as a third party interferes, leading to the destruction of Cerebro, the near death of Professor X, and the beating into submission of the entire X-Men team.
