Herb Arnold colors; complete 8 page color guides to Richard Corben's 'Change.. Into Something Comfortable'; 1984; 8.5" x 11" ea.For the color debut of Corben's classic 'Change... Into Something Comfortable', originally printed in 1973s Creepy #58, Corben enlisted long time collaborator Herb Arnold to handle the task of transforming the story to color, Arnold chose an unusual palette of bright colors, contrasting with the underlying darkness of the material, the tale of a werewolf who goes on a rampage only to see the tables turned on him. A wonderful example of classic comic coloring, and an interesting insight into Corben's creative process. Colored inks over photocopies of the original artwork, with color notes for the printer. Art is in very good condition, there is light handling wear to the pages.
