Alex Toth pencils and inks; The Time Trap storyboard; 1978; image size 10" x 6.5"From 'The Time Trap', season 3, episode 4 of Hann-Barbera's The Challenge of the Super Friends comes this wonderful storyboard by comic and animation legend Alex Toth. Toth was the main designed and one of the driving forces of 1970s Hanna-Barbera animation, providing character designs and storyboards for nearly all of the series. This storyboard shows George Washington's head from Mount Rushmore being removed as the Super Friends rush into action, featuring Samurai, Green Lantern, Batman, and Robin. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition.
Artist Information
Toth began working in comics during the Golden Age at DC where he illustrated Green Lantern and other titles, after returning from military service he began working at Hanna-Barbera on cartoons like Space Ghost and the Herculoids, while continuing to work on comics, particularly in the war genre.
