The only published Beck recreation!

This very colorful & patriotic painting features Bulletman breaking through a dam inundating an advancing enemy of Army troops with a tidal wave of water. The text block at the bottom left-hand corner reads: “Congratulations, Bob (Overstreet) On Your 15th Bull's Eye Edition! Bulletman And The Bulletheads, C.C. Beck And Jerry De Fuccio.” It should be noted that this specific “Nickel Comics #6” cover painting is the only C. C. Beck comic book cover recreation that has ever been actually published! Featured as special insert for the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide's 15th edition for 1985-1986. The painting has been archivally framed and matted to 19.75” x 22.75” Mixed media. Art is in excellent condition. Signed and dated by Beck.

Artist Information

Beck was the artist most closely associated with the original Captain Marvel at Fawcett Comics, he was the main illustrator for Whiz Comics in the Golden Age while also working on Ibis the Invincible and Spy Smasher. Later in his career he specialized in Golden Age recreations, he also created the oddball Fatman and the Flying Saucer title for Milson Publications.
