“Lucien” & “Matthew the Raven” within the confides of the Two TreesGothic scene with Lucien, the head librarian in the Dreaming, and who also resides within Dream's Castle where his vast library is, as he walks amongst “The Two Trees.” He was originally the first Raven companion to Dream of the Endless. Lucien was altered or evolved into a humanoid form, taller even than Dream, and with pointed ears. Published (Dec 1999) as the Splash (Page 20) to the story; “The Two Trees.”
The art is accomplished in ink over graphite on Bristol board and measures 11 x 17 inches and it is in excellent condition.

He graduated from the School of Visual Arts, New York City, where he studied under Will Eisner and Al Williamson. He later worked as Eisner's studio assistant. He drew, wrote, and painted comics and graphic novels for 15 years, always with a bent towards realism that was fairly uncommon in the medium.
Scott Hampton is an American comic book artist, best known for his work on Batman, The Sandman, Black Widow and Hellraiser. He also studied under Will Eisner and in 1993 won the Harvey Award for his work on Batman: Night Cries.
