Kree-Skrull War!

Legendary artist Neal Adams provides this extraordinary page from “The Andromeda Swarm”, part of the classic Kree-Skrull War storyline. The page, with its large half splash panel, features most of the core Avengers team, including Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America, who are shocked to see the Kree Captain Marvel seemingly working on the side of the Skrulls. Adams, at the top of his game as an artist, really shines here, the page is filled with details large and small, creating a page that rewards close inspection. The Kree-Skrull War is one of the standout stories of Marvel’s Bronze Age and has gone on to inspire many of the books that followed, including the hugely popular Secret Invasion. Inking on the issue is credited to Adams, Palmer, and Weiss, it's unclear who inked this particular page, but it is possible that Adams worked on at least some of it himself. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition.

Artist Information

Tom Palmer is an award winning American artist best known for extensive work for Marvel Comics, including well-remembered runs paired with pencilers Neal Adams on The Avengers and Uncanny X-Men; Gene Colan, on titles such as Doctor Strange, Daredevil and Tomb of Dracula; and John Buscema, on The Avengers. He also inked the entire run of John Byrne’s X-Men: The Hidden Years, and has influenced later generations of inkers like Klaus Janson, Josef Rubinstein and Bob McLeod.
